Narayan: Bag Monster

This is a project I did with Cinema Verde through Katerie (thanks!) it was pretty fun, minus all of the sweating. It was interesting to be doing this during the same semester as this class as it had to do with a lot of sustainability and food issues, and definitely has to do with wearables :) I went to a lot of events dressed up in the bag suit, including art openings, a couple of farmers markets, campus, downtown (drunk ppl love shit like this i learned). It was great talking to people about issues of sustainability, definitely a good ice breaker (or should i say a good polar ice melter?)

Narayan: Funny project 1

I just found this jem, at the time I was looking through all the project one links and writing down inspirations and ideas, and decided to open all of the links at the same time. I remember opening the facebook page at the bottom as a statement of where my mind was probably focusing on at the time :)
the bottom picture is a part of the process of trying to figure out the positioning, sizing of holes, and pressure for the full map.

Narayan: some long lost Project 2 Process

These are some thoughts on the food project i found in one of my 31241234 sketchbooks. The top one has the list of shots i was using to keep track while shooting my food video. the bottom page has some of my original thoughts on the project.

Narayan Project 3 Process Pt 1

These are some of my preliminary sketches for what the identity of this company and their service would look like. I was most influenced by the sterile and chic aesthetic of fashion magazines such as vogue, coupled with that of a medical advertisement. The final wordmark is a simply typeset logo that exudes elegance and modernity.

This phase of my design consisted in finding the correct landscaping plants and photographing them in the aesthetic prescribed by my ideation. I chose very angular and stiff plants that would accentuate natural facial structure and could potentially be considered as beautifying.
